DJ Joseph Abadeer

“If you greatly desire something, have the guts to stake everything on obtaining it.”

d-joe, a.k.a. Joseph Abadeer, was born and raised in Wausau, WI, just in time to experience the last few years of the 80s. Raised in a multiracial household, my Egyptian and European roots gave me a taste of the best American traditions – but we always had Falafel, hummus and Baklava right alongside the Easter ham and Thanksgiving turkey.

A lifelong music fan, d-joe finds the unique shared nature of music--and it's ability to unite people--utterly magical in a world that finds people separated through differences more often than united through our journey together as humans. With over a decade of customer service experience and a lifetime of music enjoyment, creation and performance, d-joe has been active since early 2012.

Best show d-joe has had? "DJing for my only siblings wedding was such a special moment for me. I love her so much and her encouragement has helped turn my dreams into realities. The dance was an all night party with my closest friends and family, and running back and forth between dancing, DJing and MCing, surrounded by so much love, will stand out as one of the best nights of my life!"

d-joe currently runs a small recording studio and is honing his craft with the sky as the limit. He's working on his dancing abilities as a form of cardio and getting into indoor gardening, where he hopes to grow a large portion of his diet on his own!

The Story of Why I DJ

I started DJing because a bandmate asked me to use our band’s PA system to “DJ” his wedding. I didn’t really know what I was doing, but at the end of the night after a packed dance floor, multiple business card requests and a happy bride and groom, I knew there were things I was worse at! Three years and over 20 weddings later, I am continually amazed by how good it feels to give my best to the bride and groom and lead people through a night of laughter, love and DANCING!!! – I still can’t believe It’s work.
